Christchurch Earthquake - 23rd Feb 2011

I am sure you will all join with me to share our thoughts and prayers to our Christchurch members, their families, friends and colleagues which have been affected by yesterday’s tragic event. For those of us not in Christchurch, we cannot imagine what you are going through and what we see on television is numbing. If any of you know of members that need our support, please let Raewyn know in the first instance, and she will pass it on to us. Try and be a little comforted to know that your dancing friends are thinking of you all during this terrible time.

Christine Paul's Christmas concert - 1st Jan 2011

For a Christmas finale a concert was held entitled “Everyone’s a Star” and they were!

Apart from our more traditional items each group had a choreographed piece, which was an extreme highlight.

Items included Hairspray, Loch Ness Monster, Pink & Blue Toothbrush, Shake ya Tailfeathers

Seven Little Girls, Highland Laddie & Barracks Johnnie.

The afternoon was a great success, also helping celebrate Heidi’s 16th birthday (the oldest member of the Dance School).

The concert culminated in an rendition of our dancing warm up “ Hop Scotch Polka” performed by all the Mum’s.
